Richard Serra’s (b 1938) sculpture Vortex stands like an enormous sentinel on the Fort Worth MOMA’s southwest corner. Sixty seven feet tall, it’s circular whorl of seven sheets of weatherproof steel is notable for it’s reverberant sonic qualities, which attracts local musicians, noisemakers and museum visitors.
